Noah Hulton is a singer-songwriter from Connecticut. He first fell in love with music at the age of fourteen after a music teacher inspired him. At fifteen he formed his first band with a few friends that rehearsed in a church. For two years in college he played in the band See Me, for Me.
The sound of his music drifts between sombre acoustic and upbeat grunge. His influences include Elliott Smith, Nirvana, Brand New, and Basement; with his adolescent-born love of Switchfoot likely running through it all.
Lyrically his songs are often the processing of human experience, told in short stories and rambles, which are sometimes fictional, sometimes autobiographical, and very often a mix of both.
His latest full-length release, Heretics, features a more polished sound and deliberate lyrics. The work features his brother, Nathan Hulton, on drums and included on songwriting credits for “The Tower”. It was recorded with his friend and frequent producer Brian Eldridge (West Center Studios). And it features artwork by another friend, Sean Fitzpatrick, whose painting of an old man with enormous wings, falling from the sky, portrayed the theme of the album quite well.
